These photos show how the building looked, before renovation began.

China and Rhett were pleased, perturbed and amused at the plans of their parents to embark on such a project, but nonetheless remained remarkably calm and patient while all the “negotiations” of purchase went on.

Between October 2006 and March 2007, this large 400 sq metre warehouse was converted into the home and new residence for a family recently immigranted to Argentina from Australia.

Here we record the progress of the renovation and fit out.

The day finally arrived….bewittling as it seemed, the process came to fruition !

Willy and Jo fronted up to meet with their lawyer and the seller at the bank, to do the deed and buy their new home.

Willys hard earned money appeared mounted in piles on a table,

as Ezequiel directed who gets what…

and even gave some last minute lessons to the lawyer !

And whilst Willy signed his life away,

all the time wondering…am I mad ? This is all in Spanish !

the beanies started to count the hard cash…

so, there was much idle small talk amongst the players…

which didn’t distract the beanies of course, who carried on counting

and counting…

gee that’s a lot of money Willy !

notably, the seller licked her lips with expectation…

and other photo opportunities were had …

while they carried on counting …

until finally, after counting complete…

the money was pushed across the table from buyer to seller,

keys were given to Willy and Jo

and the DEED was DONE !

Mr & Mrs White were the proud owners of their first Buenos Aires home !
